1 A secure means of Padlocking off an isolation switch/key to all sources of power from a position accessible from ground level. Padlock point must be capable of attaching a multihasp as well as being clearly signed      
2 Emergency stops to be readily accessible for rapid use, located both sides of the machine at ground level and on appropriate safe working platforms. Emergency stops must be clearly marked with the green and white signs appropriately sized and positioned      
3 A Radio Frequency ID system that will detect personnel movement a prescribed distance from the machine during tracking and stop it.     upgrade  
4 Remote control units should have a self test facility to confirm that they are in working order     upgrade  
5 When using remote steering system there should be a diagnostic check to indicate correct functioning and a specific warning in case of malfunction     upgrade  
6 Conveyors shall have pullwires fitted to both sides where accessible, up to a height of 2.8 metres above the ground, safe working platform or where it would be possible to reach the conveyor from a stockpile      
7 Where pullwires are required they must be fitted in accordance with British Standards and not stop short of head and tail drums      
8 Any location that the manufacture considers could be potentially dangerous to stand, when the machine is in operation, must be clearly labelled by a black and yellow warning sign and also highlighted in the operators manual      
9 Provision of light weight foot spreader plates to go under all adjustable or fixed mounting legs/struts      
10 Jaw crusher adjustment to be hydraulically operated     upgrade  
11 A key less method of restricting engine start up to authorised users only e.g. numbered key pad, key fob etc.rather than via a generic manufacturer’s plant type key     upgrade  
12 Security datatag system such as the CESAR, type systems     upgrade  
13 All levers and controls to be located in a position or enclosure so as to prevent accidental damage from plant or material      
14 All levers and controls to be located in a lockable enclosure so as to prevent accidental activation and or damage from plant or material<     upgrade  
15 Diagrams and control labels must be made of suitable materials to withstand the harsh environments and last for the expected lifecycle of the machine e.g. etching or embossing on to plates welded or pop rivited to the non removable parts of the machine      
16 Engine bays fitted with automatic fire suppression systems and appropriately signed on remotely operated equipment      
17 Engine bays fitted with automatic fire suppression systems and appropriately signed on all equipment     upgrade  
18 Engine bays fitted with manual fire suppression systems and appropriately signed on non remotely operated equipment     upgrade  
19 Engine bays fitted with manual fire suppression systems and appropriately signed on all equipment     upgrade  
20 Provide a lockable enclosure of a size adequate to contain an appropriate fire extinguisher(s) for the machine and appropriately signed     upgrade  
21 The safety clip to be permanently chained or wire roped to the steel locking pin that goes through the conveyor support legs such that they do not go missing
