Description
Tunstead cement plant imports a variety of bulk materials. The vehicles are often used to backhaul crushed limestone which requires the complete removal of any residue to avoid product contamination.
Recognising the inherent hazards associated with removing residue, a high pressure monitor mounted on a gantry located above the washout area has been installed. The installation avoids drivers having to enter the lorry body, eliminating the risk of falling and of manual handling injury while physically removing residue. Material is removed quickly using high pressure water.
