| Feasibility project into the use of electronic detonators to control vibration from blasting |
This is a MIST funded project by the Blasting and Environmental Research Group at Leeds University, supported by Exchem Explosives and the Camborne School of Mines.
It is important for the industry to try and reduce the vibrations from blasting that is felt near to quarries, without having a negative financial impact on the enterprise.
The advent of electronic detonators now makes it a possibility that vibration levels can be reduced.
