Tarmac’s N&S region had recognised the need to share good practice more effectively. The contracting or pave side of the region operates across four geographic areas from Scotland, North East, Yorkshire and the North West. Sharing good practices across each individual gang could be disjointed at times and a quicker more effective method was required.
A simple format was adopted that had originated within the aggregates, asphalt and RMX sides of the region however, the benefits of using a format like this were clear. Use of this format would enable individual gangs to share their ideas and quick wins and improvements not only to their pave colleagues across the region but also the aggregates, asphalt and RMX sides of the business. It was based on a simple monthly slide deck.
