There was a need to help lorry drivers to access the body of their vehicles to clear any debris that remained from the previous load.
So a set of steps was designed to enable the drivers to do this. Although not revolutionary in itself, certain measures were included that made it a very effective tool.
The steps have wheels and are easy to move and manoeuvre. It is simple to lock in place once in position which makes them secure and safe to walk up.
A key is included for the padlock which prevents unauthorised people from using the steps.
The steps lower into the body, making the descent as safe as the ascent.
Overall, the risk to drivers when accessing the body is substantially reduced.
