TITLE
Paver Machine: Serious Risk of Fire
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN

WHAT HAPPENED

The Vögele 1803-2 Paver is equipped with a lockable service access compartment beneath the drivers station.

This compartment is for maintenance access to solenoids, valves, hoses, batteries and other components. The only item to be stored in this area are the anti-vandal covers which have specific stowage points built into the underside of the lid.

It has been noted that some Paver crews have been using this compartment for general storage of other various items, such as tools, oils, aerosols, clothing etc. This creates a serious fire risk.
